Squash has always been an iffy crop here, with the exception of zucchini. We've tried to grow various squashes over the years and had some moderate success. Whether that is due to bad luck, poor practices, inclement weather, or just the inability of this climate to support squash hasn't been answered. Sometimes squash works; sometimes it doesn't.

The three types which have worked moderately or very well are:

      Patty Pan

      Zucchini
